Convert screenshots to PDF
Combine phone or desktop screenshots into a single, sharp PDF, in the order you choose, without uploading them.
- Nothing is uploaded
- Works offline after first visit
- Open source
- No watermark · limit is your device’s memory; phones hold less
Turn screenshots into one PDF in your browser, text kept pixel-sharp. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark, and your files are not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device. The size limit is your device’s memory, and phones hold less; give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, and then it works offline.
Done
Open the network tab. Your files never appear in it.
Add files and run the tool to see every request this tab makes.
Your files are processed on this device and never sent to a server. Reload the page to clear everything from memory.
Screenshots end up as PDFs when someone needs a record: an order confirmation or receipt for an expense claim, a boarding pass, a chat thread for a landlord dispute, HR or a lawyer, error messages for a support ticket, a bank transfer confirmation, or a set of app screens for a client. A single PDF keeps them in order, opens on anything, and attaches to a form that takes one file.
Screenshots are mostly text and flat colour, which JPG compression smears. This page keeps PNG screenshots as PNG inside the PDF, so letters stay pixel-sharp at any zoom. JPG screenshots go in unchanged (unless they need rotating, when they are re-encoded at high quality), WebP screenshots are decoded and stored as high-quality JPG, and iPhone screenshots saved as HEIC are decoded in the browser first. Each screenshot gets its own page at its own size, with no margin, so the PDF looks like the screens themselves.
Long scrolling screenshots of a web page or chat come out as one tall page. Acrobat and some older viewers cap page length at 200 inches, about 14,400 pixels at this page’s scale; browsers and phone viewers show taller pages fine. For printing, pick A4 or US Letter, which scales each screenshot to fit a page.
Screenshots are often the most private images on a phone: bank balances, messages, medical portals, addresses. Nothing here leaves your device. The PDF is assembled by pdf-lib in this tab, and the page keeps working with the network off after one visit and a short wait.
How it works
- Drop your screenshots, or tap to pick them from your photos. Reorder them with the arrows.
- Keep “Fit to each image” so every page matches its screenshot, or choose A4 or Letter for printing.
- Convert. The PDF downloads with one screenshot per page.
In your browser, not on a server
A JPG is embedded directly into the PDF by pdf-lib, unchanged, unless it needs rotating by its EXIF orientation (as sideways phone photos often do), in which case it is decoded and re-encoded at high quality. A PNG is embedded losslessly. Other formats are decoded by your browser (HEIC via libheif, TIFF via UTIF.js, one page per TIFF page) and embedded as high-quality JPG. Page size, orientation and margins are applied while laying out each page in memory.
Compared with upload-based tools: Uploading a folder of receipts or ID scans to make one PDF is exactly the kind of thing that should not need a server. The PDF is assembled on your device in the time it takes to pick the files.
Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.
Questions
How do I turn iPhone screenshots into a PDF?
Open this page in Safari, tap the drop zone and choose Photo Library, then select the screenshots in order. The PDF is saved to Downloads in the Files app, ready to attach or share.
Will the text in my screenshots stay sharp?
Yes. PNG screenshots are stored losslessly inside the PDF, pixel for pixel, and JPG ones are embedded unchanged unless they need rotating, in which case they are re-encoded at high quality. HEIC and WebP screenshots are decoded and stored as high-quality JPG.
Can I search or copy the text in the PDF?
Not directly: the pages are pictures of text. To get the words out, run the screenshots through Image to text first, which reads them in your browser.
Can I redact something before making the PDF?
Yes. Cover account numbers or names with a solid box on Blur text in image first, then add the edited screenshots here. A black box cannot be reversed; blur on small text sometimes can.
Is the file uploaded anywhere?
No. There is no server in this process. The page is a static file and the work is done by code running inside your browser tab. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use; then you can turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
