Resize an image to 512 × 512

An exact 512-pixel square for store icons, stickers and server icons, on your own device.

Make an exact 512×512 square for a Google Play icon, WhatsApp or Telegram sticker, Discord server icon or game texture. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark, and your files are not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device. The size limit is your device’s memory, and phones hold less; give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, and then it works offline.

The highest quality that fits is picked for each image; if even the lowest does not fit, the picture is made smaller.

    Working…

    Done

Your files are processed on this device and never sent to a server. Reload the page to clear everything from memory.

512 × 512 is the size of the high-resolution icon Google Play asks for, of WhatsApp and Telegram stickers, of a Discord server icon at its sharpest, and of many game and 3D textures, which work best at powers of two.

This page opens with Fit inside and PNG output, because icons and stickers usually need to keep their whole shape on a transparent background: a logo that is wider than tall gets transparent margins at the top and bottom rather than losing its ends. Switch to Crop to fill for photos, where filling the square matters more.

For a finished WhatsApp sticker with the white outline and the WebP format WhatsApp wants, the sticker maker does the cut-out and the sizing in one go.

    How it works

    1. Drop the logo, drawing or photo.
    2. Keep Fit inside for icons, or choose Crop to fill for photos.
    3. Press Resize to 512×512.

In your browser, not on a server

Resizing uses stepped downscaling on a canvas so text and edges stay sharp, and the browser encodes the result at the quality you choose. Everything happens in memory in your tab. Large batches are processed one image at a time so the page stays responsive on a phone.

Compared with upload-based tools: Image compressors that upload your photos limit you to a few files, a small size, or a watermark until you pay. This one has no counter to reset because there is no server to keep one.

Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.

    Questions

Should a Google Play icon be transparent?

Google Play asks for a full-square 512 × 512 PNG and applies its own rounded mask, so a design that fills the whole square, with Crop to fill, looks best there. Discord and Telegram handle transparent icons well.

Why is my PNG larger than the original JPG?

PNG is lossless and stores every pixel exactly, which suits flat graphics but is heavy for photos. For a photo, set the output format to JPG or WebP.

    Can I make a 256 × 256 or 128 × 128 version too?

Change the width and height and run again. For browser tab icons, the favicon generator makes all the small sizes at once.

    Is the file uploaded anywhere?

No. There is no server in this process. The page is a static file and the work is done by code running inside your browser tab. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use; then you can turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
