Resize an image to 1920 × 1080

An exact Full HD picture for wallpapers, slides and video, cropped or letterboxed on your device.

Turn any picture into an exact 1920×1080 Full HD image for a wallpaper, slide, video frame or TV screen: crop to fill or add bars. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark, and your files are not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device. The size limit is your device’s memory, and phones hold less; give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, and then it works offline.

The highest quality that fits is picked for each image; if even the lowest does not fit, the picture is made smaller.

    Working…

    Done

Your files are processed on this device and never sent to a server. Reload the page to clear everything from memory.

1920 × 1080 is Full HD: the shape and size of most laptop and monitor screens, TVs, 16:9 slides and video frames. A phone photo is 4:3 or taller, so setting it as a wallpaper or dropping it into a video editor leaves bars or a stretched picture.

Here every picture comes out exactly 1920 × 1080. Crop to fill trims the top and bottom of a landscape photo, or most of a portrait one, so the frame is filled edge to edge. Fit inside keeps the whole picture and adds white bars for JPG, or transparent ones if you save as PNG or WebP, which a video editor can place over any colour.

Batches work: drop a set of holiday photos and get a folder of 16:9 frames for a slideshow video.

    How it works

    1. Drop the pictures.
    2. Choose Crop to fill for edge-to-edge, or Fit inside to keep everything.
    3. Press Resize to 1920×1080.

In your browser, not on a server

Resizing uses stepped downscaling on a canvas so text and edges stay sharp, and the browser encodes the result at the quality you choose. Everything happens in memory in your tab. Large batches are processed one image at a time so the page stays responsive on a phone.

Compared with upload-based tools: Image compressors that upload your photos limit you to a few files, a small size, or a watermark until you pay. This one has no counter to reset because there is no server to keep one.

Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.

    Questions

    Can I get 4K, 3840 × 2160?

Yes: change the width and height to 3840 and 2160. Pictures smaller than that are enlarged, and the result card suggests the AI upscaler when the enlargement is big.

Where does Crop to fill cut?

Always around the centre. If the subject is off to one side, crop it yourself first with the crop tool’s 16:9 shape, then resize the result here.

What is 1920 × 1080 in inches for printing?

At 300 dots per inch it prints 6.4 × 3.6 inches. For screens, pixels are all that matter.

    Is the file uploaded anywhere?

No. There is no server in this process. The page is a static file and the work is done by code running inside your browser tab. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use; then you can turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
