Generate a signature from your name

Type your name, see it in three script styles at once, and save the one you like as a transparent PNG.

Type your name and get a signature in a handwriting style, saved as a transparent PNG. It is free, and what you draw, type or photograph is not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device. The signature is made on this page and never saved, and after one visit and a short wait the page works offline.

Your signature will appear here on a transparent background.

    Done

Your files are processed on this device and never sent to a server. Reload the page to clear everything from memory.

A signature generator turns the name you type into a signature-style image. This one sets your name in three script styles, shows all three at once, and saves the one you pick as a PNG with a transparent background, ready for a document, a slide or a form.

The result is a typeface, not your own handwriting, which makes it the quick choice for everyday paperwork where an image of your name is enough. If you want it to look like you, switch to Draw and sign with a finger or a mouse, or add a photo of your real signature; all three modes are on this page.

The fonts come from this site and the image is made in your browser, so the name you type is not sent anywhere.

    Tips for a typed signature

    How it works

    1. Type your name in the box. Use it as you would sign it: a first name, or a full name.
    2. Compare the three styles and pick one. Change the ink colour if you want blue or brown instead of black.
    3. Download the PNG, copy it to paste into a document, or press Use in Sign PDF.

In your browser, not on a server

Your strokes are kept as a list of points and painted on a canvas in this page, so they can be undone, recoloured and written out as an SVG. A typed name is set in an embedded script font and a photo is turned into a mask: the page estimates the paper around each pixel and keeps only what is darker. The PNG is written by your browser with a transparent background, trimmed to the signature.

Compared with upload-based tools: A signature is the kind of image you do not want on someone else’s server. Here it is drawn, typed or cleaned up on your device, and the image is not uploaded.

Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.

    Questions

Is a typed signature the same as my handwriting?

No. It is a script typeface, so it looks like a signature without being yours. For something that looks like your own hand, use Draw or a photo on the signature maker.

Can I use letters with accents?

Yes for the Latin alphabet with accents, such as é, ñ, ü, ç and ã. Letters from Polish, Czech or Vietnamese and other alphabets are not in these fonts, and the page shows a note when your name has one.

Can I choose a different colour?

Yes: black, blue or brown. The PNG has a transparent background, so the colour is the ink only.

Will a form accept a typed signature?

That depends on the form. This page makes an image of your name in a script style; whether a form, employer or office accepts that is their rule, and some want a signature made in their own system or a certificate-based digital signature, which this page does not make.

Is what I type uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is made by code running in this page, so your name stays on your device. After your first visit and a short wait you can turn off your internet connection and it still works.
