How it works
- Drop the PDF you need to sign.
- Draw your signature, or type your name and pick a style. Add a date or initials if you need them.
- Click a page to place the signature, drag it into position, resize it, then download the signed PDF.
In your browser, not on a server
Your signature is captured as strokes on a canvas (or typed with an embedded handwriting font), turned into a transparent PNG in memory, and drawn onto the page with pdf-lib at the exact spot and size you chose on the pdf.js preview. The signed PDF is assembled in your tab and handed to your browser’s download.
Compared with upload-based tools: E-signature sites keep a copy of your contract, your signature and your email address, and most limit free users to a few documents a month. This tool has no server, so there is nothing to keep, nothing to count and nothing to leak.
Verify it yourself. Load this page, turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode, and run the tool. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.
Questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
It adds an image of your signature to the document, the same as printing, signing and scanning. In most countries that is an accepted electronic signature for everyday documents such as leases, consent forms and contracts between people who trust each other. It is not a cryptographic digital certificate; if a counterparty requires one, they will usually say so.
Is my document or signature stored anywhere?
No. The PDF, your signature drawing and the signed result exist only in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server, and nothing is kept once you close or reload the page.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Place the signature on every page that needs it. Each placement can be moved and resized on its own. You can also add your initials or the date the same way.
Can I sign on a phone?
Yes. Draw with your finger in the signature box. It works in Safari on iPhone and in Chrome on Android, offline included.
What if the PDF is a form or is password protected?
Forms work: the signature is drawn on top of the page. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first; the tool will tell you if it cannot open the file.
