Add a watermark to a video
Put your name, a copyright line or your logo on every frame of a video, with the sound kept. Done on this device, never uploaded.
- Nothing is uploaded
- Works offline after first visit
- Open source
- No watermark · limit is your device’s memory; phones hold less
Puts a text or logo watermark on every frame of a video (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV), in a corner or the centre at a size and opacity you pick, and saves an MP4 with the sound kept. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark, and your files are not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device. The size limit is your device’s memory, and phones hold less; give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, and then it works offline.

Open the network tab. Your files never appear in it.
Add files and run the tool to see every request this tab makes.
Your files are processed on this device and never sent to a server. Reload the page to clear everything from memory.
How it works
- Drop one or more videos (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV), or tap to pick them. A frame from the first one shows the watermark as you set it up.
- Choose Text and type it, or choose Image or logo and pick a PNG. Set the position, size and opacity.
- Add watermark. Every frame is drawn with the mark and the video is written again as an MP4, with its sound kept.
In your browser, not on a server
Mediabunny (MPL-2.0) reads the MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV container in your tab. Each frame is decoded by your browser (WebCodecs) onto a canvas, your text or logo is drawn over it at the position, size and opacity you chose, and the frame is encoded again, H.264 where available and VP9 or AV1 otherwise. The sound is copied as it is when the MP4 can hold it.
Compared with upload-based tools: Online watermarking sites upload the video to stamp it, cap free files at a few hundred megabytes, and often add their own watermark on top of yours. Here the video and your logo never leave your device, and the only mark on the result is the one you chose.
Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.
Questions
Is my video uploaded?
No. Your browser decodes the video, this page draws the watermark on each frame, and the browser’s own video encoder writes the MP4, all in this tab. There is no upload, so unreleased footage and client work stay on your device, and nothing is added to the result except your mark.
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Choose Image or logo and pick a PNG, JPG or WebP. A PNG with a transparent background looks best because only the logo itself is drawn over the picture. The logo is read on your device and is not uploaded either.
Where can the watermark go?
In any of the four corners or in the centre, at a size from a small credit to a large mark, and at 5 to 100 per cent opacity. The mark is static: it sits in the same place for the whole video. Animated or timed watermarks are not supported.
Does the sound stay?
Yes. The sound is carried over as it is, unless you tick Remove the sound. The output is always an MP4, with H.264 video where your browser can write it.
Does it lower the quality?
The picture has to be encoded again to carry the watermark, which is done at high quality, so the result looks very close to the original. A very short or already heavily compressed clip can come out a little larger than it went in; run it through Compress video afterwards if you need it smaller.
Can the watermark be removed?
It is burned into the pixels of every frame, so it cannot be switched off like a subtitle track. A determined person with editing software can still cover or paint it out, as with any watermark, so use a larger or central position for footage you are worried about.
