Give a picture, screenshot or logo rounded corners with a transparent PNG background, from a slight curve to a full circle. It is free, needs no account and adds no watermark, and your files are not uploaded: everything runs in your browser on your device.     Rounded corners make a screenshot look like an app window, soften a product photo on a white shop page, and match the rounded cards on modern slides and websites. Most slide and document editors can mask corners, but the mask is lost when you export or paste the picture elsewhere.

    This page bakes the corners into the picture: everything outside the curve becomes transparent, and the result is saved as a PNG that looks right on any background. The corner size is a share of the shorter side, so a batch of screenshots of different sizes gets matching curves. 8% suits screenshots; 50% makes a circle or a pill.

    Add a border too if you like: the border follows the curve, as on a framed phone screenshot.

    In your browser, not on a server

    Your browser decodes each picture (libheif or the Squoosh decoders step in for HEIC, AVIF and JPEG XL). A new canvas is made larger by the border on each side, clipped to a rounded rectangle, filled with the border colour, clipped again to the inner rounded rectangle and the picture drawn inside at full size. The canvas is saved as PNG, JPG or WebP by your browser.

    Compared with upload-based tools: Online frame and border tools upload your picture to add a few pixels around it, and many show ads or add a watermark. Here the picture stays on your device.

    Verify it yourself. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use, then turn off Wi-Fi or switch to airplane mode and run the tool again. Or open your browser's developer tools (F12, or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac), pick the Network tab, and watch it while you convert. The panel above does the same count for you.

    Questions

    Why is the PNG bigger than my JPG?

    PNG keeps every pixel exactly and has to store the transparency. For photos where size matters, choose WebP: it keeps the transparent corners and is usually smaller than the original JPG.

    Will the corners look jagged?

    No. The browser draws the curve with anti-aliasing, so edge pixels are partly transparent and blend smoothly into whatever the picture is placed on.

    Can I round only the top corners?

    Not here: all four corners are rounded equally. Crop the picture afterwards if you need only one edge curved.

    Is the file uploaded anywhere?

    No. There is no server in this process. The page is a static file and the work is done by code running inside your browser tab. Give the page a short while after one visit to save itself for offline use; then you can turn off Wi-Fi and it still works.
